Pastor Robert Grissom

Pastor Robert Grissom answered the call to pastor Berean Bible Baptist Church of Hastings in 2015. He is an energetic and approachable leader who seeks to build each individual to their full potential.

Raised by a Christian mother, Pastor Grissom received Christ as his personal savior at the age of seven and grew up with a love for the Bible and a desire to please God. After graduating high school in Milton-Freewater Oregon, Pastor Grissom served for eight years in the United States Marine Corps, during which time he also married his high school sweetheart Teresa. Now, more than 40 years later, their four children are grown, married, and have given them ten grandchildren. 

Before coming to Berean Bible Baptist Church, Pastor Grissom served as the Associate Pastor of Blessed Hope Baptist Church for 25 years. As the Associate Pastor and Youth Leader at Blessed Hope, he specialized in helping teens through the difficult challenge of becoming adults. It was also during his service at Blessed Hope that Pastor Grissom developed a passion for missions. After experiencing several short-term mission trips with the teens and young adults at Blessed Hope,  he has a desire to inspire a passion for missions in the hearts of others.

God has given Pastor Grissom a heart for helping people grow into strong, faithful Christians, and he is excited about the opportunity to bring that heart to the entire congregation of Berean Bible Baptist Church.
